What is Camp EMS?

Camp EMS is a week-long experience at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, for teens ages 14-17 to explore the exciting career options available in Emergency Medical Services. It offers an opportunity to learn about healthcare career paths available when you become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic.

Who is Eligible to Attend Camp EMS?

All applicants must:

• Be between the ages of 14-17
• Have a sincere desire to learn about EMS
• Be mentally, physically, and emotionally able to participate fully in all camp activities

Limited financial assistance is available.  A non-refundable $25 application fee is required.  Please choose this option on the registration form.

What is Required if I am Accepted?

• A 6 day/5 night commitment of your time 

• 100% commitment to participate, learn and fully engage in the Camp EMS experience

• Adherent to all policies and guidelines 

• All participants are required to stay on campus for the duration of the camp.

What is the Registration Process?

• Registrations are due online by Friday, May 12, 2023 at noon.
• Camp is limited to the first 50 accepted applicants.
• You will receive detailed information about what to bring to camp, directions, camp rules, a campus map, medical release forms, and a program itinerary 
• You will be invited to attend a parent/camper information night before the start of camp to help answer any additional questions.

What if I want to Cancel my Registration?

• HOW TO CANCEL: To cancel your registration to attend Camp EMS you must submit a written request in the form of a email, fax, or signed letter to one of the following:

  RECEIVING A REFUND: To receive a refund of the fees paid (minus the 25.00 non-refundable application fee), you must submit a written request with your registration cancellation.  To be eligible for a refund, your written request must be received at EmergyCare Education by noon on May 19, 2023.  Requests received after the deadline are not eligible for a refund of any kind.   PLEASE NOTE:  Refund requests may take up to 4 weeks to process.

  PROGRAM CANCELLATION: EmergyCare and/or its program partner(s) reserves the right to cancel this program wholly or in part for such causes as an insufficient participants, program cancellations, organizational reasons, changes of availability of speakers, force majeure, and/or other events that may be outside of EmergyCare's control that render the execution of the program either wholly or in part, impossible, not worthwhile, or that would lead to EmergyCare and/or program partner(s) to incur unreasonable expenses in executing the program.
